I just read the D4 items headline and I’m still buzzing—a 10-year roadmap for Diablo?? Let’s gooo. This is the kind of long-term vision the franchise has needed. After the ups and downs with D3 and the mixed reception of D4, hearing that the team isn’t just winging it anymore is refreshing. We’re talking multiple expansions, quality-of-life updates, class revamps, maybe even spin-offs?
Personally, I’m hoping for a real return to darkness and dread. Diablo 4 got the tone closer, but imagine a full-on horror expansion? Blood-soaked cathedral raids, eldritch nightmares, the works. If they’re really planning 10 years ahead, there’s room to push the boundaries of what Diablo can be.
Also curious how this affects seasonal content. Could we get seasons with deeper narratives? Maybe something that builds toward a larger endgame over time instead of resets? Something like Path of Exile’s leagues but with more worldbuilding.
Anyway, I’m cautiously hyped. I know Blizzard’s been hit-or-miss lately, but this kind of roadmap means commitment. It means they’re listening—or at least planning ahead. I just hope the monetization doesn't ruin it.
