Okay, Blizzard just revealed a Berserk collaboration for Diablo 4 items, and my jaw is still on the floor—but then I read the fine print. You get the exclusive Twitch Drop by watching certain streams for 4+ hours and gifting 2 subs. So yeah, there’s a catch.

First off, the collab is genius. Berserk’s gritty, violent aesthetic fits perfectly with Sanctuary’s chaos. Guts would absolutely feel at home slaughtering demons with his Dragonslayer. The armor skin we’re getting? Straight outta the Black Swordsman arc. 10/10 on the design. They nailed it.

But now the problem: it’s paywalled behind Twitch subs. Not just watching, but gifting subs. So even if you're a loyal fan, you can't earn this cosmetic without paying extra. It’s one thing to reward viewership, another to monetize access to iconic crossovers.

Don't get me wrong—I get it. Collabs like this cost money. But it feels scummy when the hype gets milked for subs. Some fans literally grew up with Berserk and Diablo. Now they gotta pay a Twitch tax to celebrate that?

Curious what everyone else thinks. Is this fair game for exclusive drops, or is Blizzard going too far with these monetized tie-ins? Will this become the norm for crossovers? I hope not…

Let’s talk about buy diablo 4 items it.
